Transport movement on the capital’s roads as of September 5: key indicators

🔺 The Tashkent City Road Traffic Organization Center continuously monitors traffic flow, congestion levels, and public transport movement on the capital’s streets.

📊 On September 5, a total of 1,469,948 vehicles moved on the capital’s roads throughout the day. This is 32,109 fewer than the figure of 1,502,057 on September 4.

🚌 Public transport movement

On September 5, 1,098,438 passengers were transported by buses on 170 routes in 19,778 trips.

🚇 745,951 passengers were transported by the Tashkent Metro during the day.

🚦 Congestion situation

On September 5, the congestion level in the capital was recorded at around 4–5 points.

Utility organizations carried out works on 7 streets (Bogishamol, Al-Khorezmi, Shokirariq, P. Mahmud, Samarqand darvoza, Westminster dead-end streets, and at the intersection of Farhod and Lutfiy streets) that partially affected traffic flows on the carriageway.

Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance taking these circumstances into account and, if necessary, to use alternative routes.

Violations formalized by the Road Traffic Safety Department

Control measures continue consistently on the capital’s streets in order to give priority to public transport, create safe and convenient conditions for pedestrians, and strengthen compliance with traffic rules.

Among the cases identified on September 5:
— 8 cases of driving a vehicle on a pedestrian path;
— 18 cases of violating stopping rules;
— 17 cases of violating parking rules;
— 4 cases of violating the rules of movement in the “A” lane designated for public transport.

Drivers are requested not to stop vehicles on pedestrian paths or in front of them, to give way to pedestrians at designated crossings, not to occupy bus stop areas, not to drive in the “A” lane designated for public transport, and not to obstruct the movement of buses entering and leaving stops.

At the Situation Center, traffic flow and the congestion situation on the capital’s roads are monitored in real time.

Monitoring serves to promptly detect changes in transport load, ensure the stability of movement, and keep the situation on the capital’s streets under control.
